Senior Industry Advisor 

We are looking for several advisors who can help us extend the international reach of the Major Projects team into investment and corporate networks. We would like to engage individuals in several different locations. One advisor will be based on East Coast of the United States, one in Singapore and we are also recruiting sectorally based roles which could be based in the US, Europe or Asia.

iTPA Innovation Executive

 

This is a diverse and challenging role that requires an individual with experience and confidence in a customer facing role, and in delivering success for both the customers and your organisation. You will have an understanding of life sciences and biomedicine R&D, and also have experience or an understanding of the necessary requirements for successful biomedical or health research to mature towards real world applications, commercialisation and impact. You may have gained this knowledge from working in industry, early stage companies, science start-up accelerators, or knowledge exchange programs, through technical customer facing roles or other science support roles.

You will work with the experienced iTPA team to develop translational and commercialisation research projects and the early career researchers who drive these deliver increased translational impact for both the University and society.

Student Enterprise Officer

 

We are seeking to appoint an Enterprise Officer to be part of the Student Enterprise Team at Edinburgh Innovations. As part of the role, the job holder is expected to design and implement enterprise programmes, develop and deliver workshops, engage with the entrepreneurial community at the University of Edinburgh, academic departments/schools, alumni and relevant partners and foster a community of growth. The Enterprise Officer will be involved in all aspects of the research, development, and creation of the programme extra- and intra-curricular working with the wider team and relevant internal and external partners. The aim of the post is to help EI Students to support academic colleagues to introduce enterprise into the curriculum while also supporting the general development and delivery of Student Enterprise activities.

The post-holder will have experience of delivering learning and development programmes, ideally with an enterprise focus, solid information gathering and analysis skills as well as great communication and team working skills. Previous experience within a higher education setting and start-up support would be highly valuable. Demonstrable knowledge and a relevant degree-level qualification, or equivalent workplace experience, are essential.

Investment Executives

We are looking for two enthusiastic and proactive investment executives to support EI’s head of investment and investment manager to deliver the day-to-day outputs of the investment team. The post holders will be expected to assist with activities in relation to Old College Capital (OCC), the Edinburgh Technology Fund (ETF), EI and the University of Edinburgh (UoE). The role responsibilities will be divided between the new appointees depending on their expertise, experience and interest areas. The investment executives will both be further supported by an investment analyst.
